Local Fall Festivities
Fall seems like a distant dream in South Florida as I look up at the palm fronds in my yard that will never gracefully fall to the ground in a luscious pile of red, yellow, and orange tint leaves leaving the palm trees barren and ready for snow... While our landscape in South Florida might not be able to provide the stereotypical Fall weather we all long for, our local community does offer a wide variety of festivals and outings to make home feel a little more like that Hallmark movie we all know and love.
If you’re not the family that starts off Thanksgiving with brunch, then this one’s for you! Start your morning off with Palm Beach Roadrunners 21st Annual Run 4 the Pies. Hosted in the Village of Tequesta’s Constitution Park, the race features a 4-mile run and a 1-mile run for kids aged 8-12. With races for the whole family, what better way to earn that pie later Thanksgiving night?
2. Park take in Stone Crab Season at our local favorite: Cod & Capers
The beginning of Fall also marks the beginning of Stone Crab season… tired of turkey, mashed potatoes, and everything pumpkin spice? Try Cod & Capers in North Palm Beach for their famous stone crab all the way through May 1st.
On November 13th and 14th, take a stroll along Juno Beach and shop from over 40 local artisans offering a variety of fine crafts and unique gifts. From leather goods to paintings and photography, this event is sure to have something for everyone including food vendors for snacking. Located along A1A and Loggerhead Park will be parking options.
